About the Network

The Bushcare Network is a coalition of individuals and representatives from Bushcare groups and other authorities interested in maintaining and restoring the integrity of bushland in the Blue Mountains. Network meetings provide a forum for Bushcare Groups to exchange ideas and information, comment on issues, or initiate strategies.

The Blue Mountains Bushcare Network began prior to the commencement of Council’s Bushcare program in 1992. It was set up to represent all bushcare groups, not just those supported by BMCC.

Its scope is defined by the Community Conservation Program Plan 2014 (CCPP), in section 8.1.8. All BMCC Bushcare groups should have a copy of this document available to their members. The new CCPP was adopted at a full Council meeting on 11th November 2014 as Item 18. Copies of the CCPP and the Council Business Papers are available in the BMBN Resources tab.

Network meetings are held every three months. Meeting times are advertised well in advance through Bushcare’s Gecko newsletter and Bushcare emails.

The agenda and minutes of each meeting can be found on this website.

All Bushcare, Landcare, Cragcare, Trackcare, Swampcare and Streamwatch volunteers and other interested people are welcome to attend the meetings.
